Your dining furniture is an integral part of your home. It’s more than just a table and chairs – it’s where loved ones catch up over dinner each evening; it’s important for entertaining and special occasions too.

Once you have selected the shape and size of the table you want for your dining room, the next step is the choice of material for the top.  Whatever you use your dining table for – be it family dinners, grand feasts, homework, craft or regular entertaining – a good table should be adaptable, robust and fit your needs.

Regarding to materials there are many possibilities, but each one has its own characteristics in terms of strength, appearance, ease of maintenance.

wood

WOOD

Wood is a living material. This makes it the perfect choice for those who love natural materials. It is sensitive to light and it gets to its final shade over time. In terms of maintenance wood needs some attention as it fears moisture and absorbs oily and greasy substances. It is however very versatile material, adapts well to classic and contemporary environments.

GLASS

It is surely one of the most used materials in many furniture as well as dining tables. It is fragile by its nature but it acquires resistance when subjected to certain treatments such as tempering. Transparent glass is perfect to lighten a room or to highlight a table base.

CERAMIC

Ceramic is not very demanding for maintenance and very resistant to stains, high temperatures, humidity and scratches; hygienic and easy to clean.

Moreover it is suitable for different treatments and its finishes can simulate the aesthetics of natural stones.

MARBLE

Natural and very precious material. Marble veins depend on the impurities of the original rock. Therefore each block and each cut will have different characteristics. The surface can be worked in many different ways achieving glossy or smooth finish. It is very durable material even if due to its porosity it can absorb liquids, therefore it requires a little attention in daily use. Its precious appearance makes it perfect for luxury dining room.

Bring everyone together at meal times with a table that fits your needs and living space.

White Kitchen

Because, simply, white kitchens will always be best sellers thanks to their timeless hue. The choice of white cabinetry provides a crisp, smart look for your new modern kitchen or a classic backdrop for a country kitchen. Choosing a white kitchen could be the best decision you’ll ever make.

The usual design rules apply though, particularly where white is concerned. It’s generally acknowledged that a totally white colour scheme can look clinical, reminding us of an operating theatre rather than a warm, welcoming room that is the heart of your house.

  • go off white

You may be against going pure white, especially if you want to create a comfortable, warm kitchen. If that’s the case, go for an ever-so-slightly-off white for your furniture or almost light grey.  Below contrasted with dark mocha to bring up the warmth of the off white cabinets.

  • splash of marble

Marble could be a excellent addition to white cabinets. It’s an exquisite and dazzling choice for a kitchen. Hunt for particular designs and varieties in tone for an totally one of a kind splash back or worktop. Or as seen in one of our kitchen ranges below, also available as a marble like finish for the cabinets, contrasted with dark base units creates a modern and timeless design.

  • jazz up with colour

Add some personality into a white kitchen with just a couple of accent pieces in a bright colour. Open storage units in various colours are great alternative to white wall units, making your kitchen appear full of energy. If you are brave enough you can add a pop of colour in the plinth and groove or chose couple of the cabinets to be in any colour of your choice. Our range of matte lacquer finishes will meet any requirements. download (4)

Wood effect ceramic tiles from Gardenia Orchidea

WOOD

Collections whose surface is rich in colours and shades typical of the natural wood. The expressiveness, which is typical of the living material is here presented not only to the full but also in a completely reinvented, contemporary way, giving life to technologically advanced environments, in which living goes back to being natural, secret and personal.

From classic white to almond, from honey to brown, from grey to black, even to blue, the texture is returned in a new key, with chromatic variations usable both on their own and through unique combinations. In any case, the idea of wood always finds room to express itself in a lively, dynamic, material way.

The wood effect guaranteed by their collection in mass-coloured porcelain stoneware of the highest quality combines the anti-slip and durability features typical of the material. The surface finish is matte, able to convey an intense feeling of solidity and rigour, but with a creative flicker that is hard to ignore.

KITCHEN HANDLES : Different possibilities

We tend to spend loads of time designing the perfect, most functional kitchens. Carefully choosing materials, multi functional furnishings and original solutions. Every little detail is carefully designed to meet the needs of modern life and living spaces.
One of the most complicated and probably the most neglected is the choice of the handles, or the handles system kitchen system.
a
The handles system

The handles system allows to open the cabinets and drawers door directly from the groove at the top or on the side of the door.

The handles system is then the solution for an aesthetically clean and compact kitchen, improving the perception of design and permitting the finishing to stand out.

The aesthetics purity reflects itself also in the functionality of the kitchen: the door without handle is easier to clean because the surface is compact and flat, with no interruptions.

We suggest this one to people looking for a minimal design, as well as to the ones with a very small kitchen or to the messy ones.

Flat groove options:

 The handle

If the handles door is perfect for minimal kitchen, the ones loving the details will choose the handle; and there is endless options and types of handles to go for.

c

You can chose from standard handles in different shapes and finishes to handles at the top of the door.

img_9

Integrated handle

Integrated handles, the perfect collection for the lover of details and the research design: the handle is evident, but is also a fine decoration

d

img_12

e

If your home has a definite style, it’s required to follow it even in the choice of the handle. While, if your home doesn’t have a clear style, then pick the handle that becomes a main feature.

As usual the design is fundamental: never choose a handle at the end, but rather during the process of design.

You must consider your habits, your individual taste and the characteristics of the kitchen!

So, make a good choice!

If your kitchen need an update, come and talk to one of our designers! We will help you make a decision and create a kitchen you always dreamt of.
